Cascadia Collaborative Divorce

What exactly is a collaborative divorce?
In a Collaborative Divorce, the parties agree to cooperatively work together in ending their marriage. Each party agrees that they will not go to court and resort to traditional litigation. Instead, they utilize the skills of collaboratively trained attorneys and allied professionals to try and work through their issues in a fair and rational manner.
By providing a continuous loop of feedback and dialogue, these specially trained experts assist the parties in identifying and working the through the issues requiring resolution. Through a series of meetings the parties negotiate a resolution that attempts to maximize the benefits of the final orders for all of the involved parties. The collaborative process is particularly well suited to meeting the unique needs and challenges of children facing the separation and divorce of their parents.
If you have additional questions about whether the collaborative process is appropriate, we encourage you to call one of our professionals and discuss your case in more detail.
